The Kitsap Great Give, online giving for non profits, begins this Friday, April 1 through Tuesday, April 19th. We are hoping you can find it in your giving again this year to help with educating Maasai girls and women in Kenya. Our small nonprofit relies heavily each year on this fund-raiser to send girls and women in Kenya to school. We will receive a “boost” (usually 8-9 % ) by corporate sponsors at the conclusion of this campaign.
The resilience and determination of the Maasai girls and women to obtain an education, even during the past difficult two years, will always give them the hope to achieve a better life and provide inspiration for others in the Maasai community.
Please consider a gift to MWEEP through the Kitsap Great Give to help continue to give education, hope and inspiration to our Maasai girls and women during these difficult times.
Below are 2 secure ways to contribute to Great Give through April 19,2022:
(1) Donate through the Kitsap Great Give secure website using the link below:
(2) Write a check made out to Kitsap Community Foundation with a notation at the bottom for MWEEP – Great Give and mail to: Kitsap Community Foundation at: P.O. Box 3670, Silverdale, WA 98383. Please mail early so it will be sure to arrive by April 19th.
Thank you in advance for your donation. This annual Kitsap Great Give fundraiser helps bring in a large portion of our annual donations and we appreciate it.
We are so excited that 21 secondary and 11 post secondary girls and women completed their degrees in 2020! The secondary degrees represented a wide range of studies including accounting, teaching, criminology and criminal justice, food and beverages, business and law. It was with the help of MWEEP USA and MWEEP Kenya that this was possible. Thank you to all who support MWEEP in their many capacities.
Above graduates in full graduation attire celebrate their accomplishment. The photo on the left shows two mentors standing on either side of their graduate who they encouraged and supported throughout the journey.
The letter below represents the gratitude that one postgraduate woman shared in her letter. Note that she will be an art teacher!!!
Congratulations Maasai women!
GREAT NEWS! Our MWEEP girls and women returned to school January 4, 2021. MWEEP Kenya met with 70 girls in October where food and supplies were distributed. Many many thanks to our faithful supporters which allowed us to assist these girls with money for food and health products during their time away from school. We are so thankful for your donations.
Our support to the secondary and post secondary girls and women in Kenya continues as they return to their in person education.

In 2019 MWEEP had the amazing milestone of having provided more than 1,000 years of schooling with 93 girls in secondary school and 36 young women in post-secondary education.
The 2020 pandemic has upended lives all over the globe. When schools had to close, MWEEP Kenya asked that families be helped with food and health products to meet basic needs during this time. MWEEP USA agreed with this request to help so that when schools do open girls will be healthy and able to continue learning.
As we close out the year 2018 we want all of you to know that you have helped keep MWEEP strong and growing. Please read some of the inspiring letters below from Maasai girls that have been able to attend school because of your support. What a wonderful opportunity you are
helping to provide for these girls. A big Thank You!!
The Kitsap Great Give is happening now! You may make a donation at any time up until midnight April 24, 2018 by clicking on the link below which will take you directly to the MWEEP Great Give site. It’s safe, fast and easy.
Thank you for your continued support which allows Maasai girls to attend secondary and post secondary school. It is a ‘gift of hope.’
Please note that if you plan to give to the Kitsap Great Give from home the link to the MWEEP giving site (https://kitsapgreatgive.org/npo/maasai-womens-education-empowerment-program) will be down from 5 pm this afternoon (4/23/18) until midnight tonight in preparation for the expected high amount of traffic for tomorrow’s 24 hours of giving. Sorry for this slight glitch but it will be up and running by midnight tonight! Thank you in advance for all your support.
